Third RILEM International Conference on Earthen Construction

The First International Conference on Earthen Construction (ICEC 2022), hosted by Université Gustave Eiffel in March 2022, showcased the extensive research supporting the use of earth as a sustainable construction material. The event attracted nearly two hundred researchers, academics, and engineers, who gathered to share their knowledge and engage in scientific discussions on the performance and potential of earthen materials. Building on this success, the Second ICEC took place in July 2024 at The University of Edinburgh, further expanding the global network of earthen construction researchers and fostering collaborations within the community.

The upcoming Third ICEC will be held in July 2026 at NOVA University Lisbon, Portugal. This conference will continue to provide a platform for presenting cutting-edge research on a wide range of topics related to earthen construction. The event aims to further broaden the international network of researchers, attract new members to the RILEM technical committees on earth, and identify new opportunities for future research in this rapidly evolving field.
